In 2016, I'll be randomly choosing a homeless person to treat to lunch each week.
In this week's 'Homeless in the City,' I was led to a man named Mark. Mark has been homeless for three years. Before homelessness, he was living with his mother, but she abruptly decided to move back to their hometown of New Orleans. Due to financial situations at the time, Mark was unable to go and found himself homeless. He severely injured his knee running from a dog


'Homeless in the City' w/ Ed & Jacob (17)

In 2016, I'll be taking a random homeless person to lunch each week.
In this week's 'Homeless in the City,' I was led to men named Ed and Jacob.
Ed and Jacob are homeless buddies and were together when I found them. They met each other about six months ago. Ed (in the red) has been homeless for a year and Jacob has been homeless for six years. Ed has two daughters and Jacob has six children.
They both say that they are doing all that they can

In 2016, I'll be taking a random homeless person to lunch each week. In this week's 'Homeless in the City,' I was led to a man named Chip.
Chip has been homeless for five years. He says he became homeless by temporarily living with a friend when he was going through hard times. That friend unexpectedly evicted him without cause.
After his eviction, he says he simply never got back on his feet and has been homeless ever since. Chip says that since

Sat, April 30, 2016. Each week, I'll be taking a random homeless person out to lunch. In this week's 'Homeless in the City,' I was led to a woman named Patricia. Patricia has been homeless for a year. She recently became homeless when her husband died of Cancer. He was the breadwinner of the family and she has been unable to find sustaining work since his death. Patricia loves Country music and goes to church every Sunday. She sleeps under bridges and sometimes in shelters. W

In today's 'Homeless in the City,' I was led to a man named David. David has been homeless for the past eight years. He was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. Before homelessness, David once owned his own business as a landscaper. However, after his wife was diagnosed with Cancer, he could not keep up with bills and tend to her bedside. His wife eventually died of Cancer,
